The Resume Place - resume place.com - PISSED CONSUMER.com
The Resume Place.com claims to be the creator of the federal resume (guidebooks (LOL)and all) but is really a big **** rip off!! Way to go resume place! I wrote my own resume but I was looking for someone to polish it up and read more professionally and more presentable. Wow... What can I say.. it was just a bunch of garbage. Don't miss ever paying them every last cent for your resume or their staff of lawyers will replevin your CD and their lawyers and bill collectors will come after YOU and charge you at a rate of 19%, check their website carefully and ASK when you call them. See if they lie. All I needed was a professional résumé, not another bill collector and my credit score ruined. The Resume Place should be called "The Bill Collector Place". Unless you have $700-$1500 dollars to throw away, PLEASE never use this service which even falsely claims to be a member/accredited with the BBB, http://www.resume-place.com/about/terms-and-conditions/. If you read their Site carefully, you see that they conveniently state their services do not guarantee any specific results, NO interview, NO job, and we do not guarantee you'll get hired by using this service. Why did I just spend $700+ dollars then resume place! Isn't that the reason why I paid you nearly $1000 of my hard earned money!!!! PLEASE avoid them like the great plague. I have a $750 resume from a self-proclaimed "resume expert" which has not landed me one interview. Nothing my consultant added helped explain my experience or qualifications. It was just a bunch of fancy sounding garbage which apparently can't even help me make the cert for any of the job series I've applied for. OH, BTW, I am qualified, I know this because I made several certs with my own resume before wasting almost $1000!!!! My consultant never answers his phone, bb, so I asked for another "expert" but apparently there's a waiting period for that simple request with them. Their website is all about selling books, doing seminars and speaking at different hiring events. What about doing a professional résumé for its intended purpose, guru. That was a lot of *** money for a useless resume! Their claims of being the federal resume guru is a bunch of ****. All they want is MONEY and lots of YOURS!!!! They know there services are too expensive that's why they disclaim any specific results from their resumes. Stuff like " Disclaimer of Warranty. " This services resumes are a JOKE!! Never use this company if you want a real Federal Government Resume or KSAs or your information will be put in the trash like mine was and you'll be out $700. Pay no more than $300 max. You don't want to be their next victim.

The Resume Place is a total RIP OFF!
www.resume-place.com is a complete rip off. Bunch of crooks. Took my wife's money and never got the final product. Federal resume had numerous typos, grammatical mistakes. Spent over $700 for a piece of garbage and was told I could not get my deposit back. What! These people do not live up to what they promise. Do not use this service for anything other than writing a complaint. They are dishonest and will steal your money if you are misinformed enough to use their poor service. I would not recommend The Resume Place, I would never use their "service" again and they will be hearing from my lawyer.

I too used this service last year. I used the SES resume Targeting Senior Technical and Management Positions for around $1500.00 to apply for my dream position then retire. I did not get what I paid for. It was just awful working with my "expert" consultant. Like a power struggle with her. Basically they provided me with an abbreviated version of my own resume and sub par ECQs (actually my own draft ECQs reformatted). I should have went with another company but they claimed to have written the book on federal resumes. What a freakin waste of money! Obvious my original resume wasn't bad. If my resume was reviewed by someone at The Resume Place and nothing was wrong with it then I would expect someone to say "hey there is nothing we can do for you." I have to say if they were simply going to shorten my resume to make it look prettier, I did not need that.

Resume-place.com/services RIP OFF!
I got scammed by THE RESUME PLACE! I had a HR executive federal resume developed by one of their writers who says they have over 30 years of Human Resources experience including 20 plus years with JPMorgan Chase. What a joke! I didn't even make the cert for the job I was getting help for and I hire and fire people. I only needed my federal resume polished and their writer screwed that up! I paid over $900 for what. I personally would not go back to these people for anything. They took my money and I got nothing in return.

Resume-place.com - bbb fake!
These people must use all the money they scam from charging $785.00 to over $2000.00 to inflate their better business bureau rating. There is no way they should have anything less than a below *** for the *** SES resume they produced for me. I hadn't seen much in the way on negative comments before now about the resume place but I'm glad I'm not the only person who got shafted by a slick talker. I should have saved money and either went with another cheaper service or done it myself. No way the resumes they produce are worth the money they charge. Oh, btw their contract specifies no results from their services. Keep that in mind if you're thinking about spending this kind of money.

Keep away from this company and save your money. Complete and utter rip off! Had the Entry and Technical / Administrative Level Full Service federal resume for $585.00. 6 months later, still no call backs. My writer was personable but wouldn't listen to any of my suggestions. Finally I requested another writer. Started using my resume imediately. Thought my employment problems were solved. Almost $600 down the drain! They left out many awards and other items which I think were relevant but the writer didn't agree. Wasted 6 months applying with no results. The Resume Place did not work for me.

Resume Place - sucks!
"The Resume Place, Inc. is the leading federal resume writing firm in the industry. We wrote the book on the topic – Federal Resume Guidebook." Yeah maybe, but perhaps just the book is worth anything. But then use another federal resume service because they charge $990.00 for reformatting and shrinking your resume. My 'consultant' said she was out to lunch whenever I needed to talk with her. Called to complain and got the run around. Even politely threatened if I suggested a chargeback with the very real possibility of incurring billing fees and 18% annum interest charges on my invoice. I think she thinks I just feel off a turnip truck. Go to H*** resume place.

Agree with the other posts. The Resume Place is an overpriced scam! Writers don't call back, resumes lack all your information, they make you sign a contract, they can keep your 60% deposit even is you request a refund before all your work is done, my writer never returned my calls, the guidebook I wasted money on can be downloaded for free (don't waste your money actually buying it, my writer didn't include all my relevant awards and trainings, asked to have a different writer with acutal federal government experience (they couldn't provide one), and after all this I didn't get an interview. The Resume Place is a total scam of a resume place!

The resume place took me for over $800. I shouldn't have gambled all my money with one company but they looked like they knew what they were talking about having wrote the book and all. Waste of good money. I still don't have a job with the federal governemnt adn I've been trying for over a year. My friend paid for Kathy Troutman's book which was a good read but my writer wasn't friendly at all and didn't use all the information I gave her. I would not recommed this service and will report them to the bbb to warn others not to waste their money with them.

The Resume Place is a joke by saying you haven't heard of this site but happen to respond to legitimate complaints about your services here. Calling your former customers turds and stupid because they used your services and still weren't able to get a government job to feed their families and pay their bills shows just how slimy and greedy you bastards really are. Taking people's deposits and providing them with a $1000 resume that can't even get past a gs5 HR specialist is plain pitiful. Your rich writers must laugh at how dumb we all are who spend our money with you. THE RESUME PLACE.com=Corporate GREED!

These people make you sign a contract to have a resume done for no less than $700. I applied for contract specialist jobs at a gs13 and 14 and ended paying alittle over $1000. The resume is worthless! I haven't made any certifications for any agencies I've applied for, DHS, DoD, HHS, Justice, Hud, etc. My writer did not know what he was doing, period. I'm convinced of that fact now. I provided all my info and he didn't ask me any follow up questions and never returned my calls. For this kind of money, I would expect much better treatment and a job.

The Resume Place only cares about their bottom line, not whether you are actually hired and get what you paid for. I wasted good money with them. Poor service, no return phone calls.
The Resume Place took my deposit and I got NO results. Merry Christmas!
Too bad I didn't realize what a waste their resumes are beforehand. Thanks for nothing Resume Fake!
